Privacy starts with asking for less.
This notice explains how Find Desi Families handles information for its early-access waitlist in Canada and the United States. Matching is not live, and joining the waitlist does not create a public household profile.
Information we collect
We collect your email after you confirm you are 18 or older and consent to waitlist email. If you continue, we also collect your country; broad city or metro area; household stage and size range; optional adult and children's age bands; optional Indian state and hometown; connection interests; travel-distance range; research permission if you choose it; and referral or campaign information attached to the link you used.
Information we do not ask for
We do not ask for an exact address, postal or ZIP code, home coordinates, adult or child names, exact birth dates, school, phone number, photos, social profile, religion, caste, income, profession, immigration status, or a public family profile.
How we use it
We use the information to operate and protect the waitlist, send and confirm your verification link, provide essential early-access updates, understand interest by broad area and household stage, attribute referrals and community campaigns, and contact people who separately agree to research. We do not sell waitlist information or use it to build advertising audiences.
Email confirmation and referrals
Email confirmation proves control of an inbox only. It does not verify identity, household details, ethnicity, or safety. After verification, you may receive a private referral link. We do not ask you to upload contacts or provide another person's email address.
Service providers and transfers
Vercel hosts the website, Google Cloud Firestore stores waitlist records, Resend sends transactional email, and Cloudflare Turnstile helps prevent automated abuse. These providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other locations where they operate, subject to their contractual and legal obligations. Google Maps and Google Places are not used in the current waitlist flow.
Retention and control
We retain waitlist information while the early-access program is active or until it is no longer needed for the purposes described here. You can request a private management link to unsubscribe or permanently delete your signup information. We may retain limited records when required for security, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, limited server credentials, hashed verification and management tokens, rate limits, and private administration tools. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may decline optional research contact, unsubscribe from early-access email, or delete your waitlist information. Use the private management link available from the site or from an email we send. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access or correct personal information.
